With ongoing support from its team of doctors, nurses, and technologists headquartered outside of Boston, Glytec improves outcomes and controls costs for the large population of patients requiring insulin treatment – including those with and without a diagnosis of diabetes.

As the Enterprise Data Modeler and member of Glytec’s Analytics team, you will be responsible for the creation of data models for DW from scratch on cloud platform. You will have the opportunity to assess the current state and come up with new models and recommendations. You are deeply curious, driven to understand our business, product, and technology, and to apply that knowledge to create better outcomes for patients and drive efficiencies for our customers.

As Enterprise Data Modeler, your day to day will involve:

  • Analyze and translate business requirements into conceptual and fully detailed logical data models.
  • Create logical and physical data models based on existing and new applications and databases.
  • Contribute to ongoing updates to data modeling standards and guidelines.
  • Work with business architects, data stewards to capture business requirements in a Logical Data Model.
  • Contribute to assessing the appropriate data platform(s) for solutioning efforts.
  • Evaluate implemented application databases for variances from standards.
  • Assist Data team in building ETL pipelines and authoring sql queries.
  • Evaluate physical data models to ensure they align to the corresponding logical data models.

Skills:

  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with 3NF logical, dimensional, and physical data modeling.
  • Have extensive experience with different data modeling techniques that includes Dimensional Modeling, Data Vault Modeling, 3NF etc.
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into conceptual and fully detailed logical data models.
  • Create logical data models based on existing applications and databases.
  • Ability and experience in building both logical and physical data models from the scratch.
  • Contribute to ongoing updates to data modeling standards and guidelines.
  • Work with business architects, data stewards to capture business requirements in a Logical Data Model.
  • Experience with SQL, query authoring and handling large datasets
  • Experience with design, development of ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Experience working on Cloud platforms like Azure, synapse, snowflake etc. is a big plus.
