As the eLearning Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to develop new e-learning courses and revise existing e-learning courses. Supports projects internally and is responsible for tasks and assignments associated with the development of training. Reporting the Director of Training, this individual will play an integral part on the delivery team during a time of growth and optimization with the aim to increase time to value for Glytec across health systems nationwide.

 Essential Job Functions: 

  • Create/revise e-learning modules to transform technical content into an engaging and interactive learning experience.
  • Maintain e-learning content.
  • Work with project team to design and develop SCORM compliant e-learning.
  • Develop storyboards and scripts for e-learning and virtual live training.
  • Upload and configure e-learning content into learning management system (Glytec eLearning site).
  • Integrate emerging instructional methods and technologies into e-learning.
  • Manipulate and edit digital imagery, sound, video and incorporate graphics, and effects.
  • Create images and animations that identify a concept or convey a message.
  • Develop graphics for online training.
  • Adhere to Glytec branding guidelines for colors, images, text style, and layout that are professional and convey a specific message.
  • Incorporate changes recommended by internal and external clients.
  • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing.
  • Develop graphics for course catalogs and course information sheets.
  • Develop Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
  • Apply creative design to the discipline of instructional design with an emphasis on multimedia.
  • Develop instructional programs that leverage new technologies and multimedia.
  • Apply interaction design and interactive learning principles to instructional solutions for adult learners.
  • Select, modify, and integrate existing instructional materials that employ multimedia and emerging technologies.
  • Must be able to produce training programs for virtual-live training.
  • Must deliver products on-time.
  • Support other initiatives as assigned by the Director of Training.

About You: 

Minimum Requirements: You confirm that you meet the following requirements for the eLearning Specialist:


  • Bachelor’s Degree required; in multimedia design, instructional technology, or instructional design, or a related field in training development



  • 5 years of demonstrated experience as an e-learning developer using various eLearning authoring tools, preferably in clinical healthcare IT
  • 3 years direct experience with Learning Management Systems


  • Collaborate with internal teams, external teams, and management to ensure requirements are being
    met and projects are kept on schedule.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent follow-up, time management and organization skills.
  • Strong editing, written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with clinical subject matter experts.
  • Effective customer communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, SnagIt, Smartsheets, Adobe Captivate and Photoshop, Camtasia Articulate 360, and video conferencing.
  • Basic coding skills including HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript.

Working Conditions
